A mouse was thrown into a cage to be made food for a snake, but turned out it killed the snake instead. The viper was captured by firefighters in Nantou town, Taiwan, who then locked it inside a cage. The found the snake some lunch – a tiny mouse which appeared harmless. But the men were startled to witness a fight inside the cage. It seemed that the rat was dominating and eventually the poor reptile was found dead after 30 minutes of battle. A firefighter explained that the viper may have used up its venom or it may have been a novice predator.
